American Electric Power (AEP), Mountaineer Project – CO2 capture plant FEED study webinar

Time: 2:00PM – 3:00PM GMT (view world clock)
Matt Usher, Manager, CCS Engineering with AEP, led a Global CCS Institute webinar about AEP’s Mountaineer Plant CO2 Capture FEED Study report.
The Mountaineer project planned to capture approximately 90 per cent of the carbon dioxide from a 235 megawatt electric (MWe) slipstream from the 1300 MWe Mountaineer power plant, which is located along the Ohio River near New Haven, West Virginia, USA. The project is currently on hold.
AEP completed the front end engineering design (FEED) study for the capture plant. The main results from the FEED study were presented in this webinar. AEP also discussed other technical topics, such as the integration work done on the plant and evaluation of compression options for Mountaineer.
