Run by the University of Leeds, the course will provide a general introduction to CCS technology, including capture and transport of CO2 and introduction to 2nd generation capture technology, and MVA (Monitoring, Verification and Accounting). The course will also present planned and recently developed insights into demonstration projects in UK and worldwide. Recent advances in the understanding of technological challenges and knowledge gaps will be examined.

The Trondheim CCS Conference series is a leading bi-annual scientific CCS technology conference.

The Trondheim Conference is staged bi-annually. While the 4th Conference in 2007 had 46 oral presentations and 215 attendees and the 5th Conference in 2009 had 100 papers and 300 participants, the 6th Conference (in 2011) had 145 papers, more than 100 posters, and 425 participants – from 22 countries.
