Finance Officer

The Global CCS Institute is a new ‘Not-for-profit’ organisation with a global mandate to promote and facilitate the commercial deployment of carbon capture and storage projects. Recognising the important contribution CCS can make in addressing climate change the organisation has received unprecedented initial support from industry and governments worldwide and is now in an exciting period of growth.

The organisation is looking for a suitably qualified person to fill the position of Finance Officer. The role reports to the Finance Manager and the role will be responsible for accounts, payable receivable, budget preparation, accounts reconciliation, financial reporting, prepare journals for the end of month processes, asset management, banking reconciliations, FBT returns and BAS lodgement.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record in providing financial administration support, enjoy the challenge of meeting deadlines, have excellent organisational skills, a high level of attention to detail, effective communication skills and enjoy working in a multi-stakeholder environment. The right candidate will be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and have exposure to ACCPAC or an equivalent accounting package.  Experience in a diverse financial services environment is essential. 

A three year full time contract with an attractive remuneration package will be offered to the right candidate. This role is based in Canberra.
