Accelerating CCS: Draft Five-Year Plan to be released to Members
Over the course of 2012, the Institute has been developing a Five-Year Strategic Plan to clarify how it will work to accelerate the successful demonstration and deployment of CCS. The draft Strategic Plan builds on the Institute’s track record, setting out how it will continue to champion the role of CCS in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and further develop itself as a Member-driven, fit-for-purpose organisation.
The draft Strategic Plan will be forwarded to Members for review in the first half of July 2012. The Institute’s commitment to creating a Member-driven organisation means that extensive consultation with Members will take place in order to gather detailed feedback. The target is to finalise the Strategic Plan by the end of 2012 with implementation in 2013, again with continued, extensive Member consultation.
The Institute encourages Members to look out for the draft Strategic Plan. The cover letter that will accompany the materials will contain all the necessary information to assist Members in providing feedback and to help shape the Institute’s future plans and priorities.
