Canada: clean energy superpower?

In what could be viewed as the Government of Canada’s first significant measure to address greenhouse gas emissions levels at source, Environment Canada has proposed the Reduction of Carbon Dioxide Emissions from Coal-Fired Generation of Electricity Regulations to the Canadian Environmental Protection Act. The Regulation also creates an exemption until 2024 for qualifying facilities adopting carbon capture and storage technologies (CCS).
