EU–GCC meet on clean energy set to begin today

Enhancing inter-regional knowledge dissemination and information exchange on clean energy topics, including research, technology and policy aspects, is the aim of a European Union – GCC conference scheduled to begin in Doha today. The three-day meeting on the ‘European Union – GCC co-operation on renewables, energy efficiency and carbon capture and storage’ is being held at Qatar Foundation’s Student Centre in Education City. The event is being organised by QF’s Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI) and the EU-GCC Clean Energy Network. The event is addressed to energy sector experts, consultants and researchers including engineers, project developers, executives at energy utilities and authorities, as well as students specialising in the fields of clean energy and particularly on energy efficiency and demand side management, renewable energy sources, and carbon capture and storage among others.
