26 November 2015: The Global CCS Institute has expressed its disappointment in the news that the United Kingdom’s carbon capture and storage (CCS) competition won’t continue on its current basis.

Experts from across the international Carbon Capture & Storage community came together today at an exceptional event at the European Parliament hosted by MEPs Theresa Griffin (S&D, UK) and Krišjānis Kariņš (EPP, LV) to bring lessons from abroad on key CCS projects and to discuss measures

Now in its sixth year, the Global Status of CCS 2015 profiles two large-scale CCS projects that became operational in 2015 – the Canadian Quest project and the Uthmaniyah CO2-EOR Demonstration Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
