15 September 2016: The Global CCS Institute applauds the significant one-year milestone achieved at Shell’s Quest carbon capture and storage (CCS) project, capturing and storing one million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) ahead of schedule.

A parliamentary advisory group has published a new report emphasising the critical role that carbon capture and storage (CCS) can play in helping the UK to reduce its carbon emissions.

Andrew Purvis, General Manager for EMEA, the Global CCS Institute said: “These recommendations have the potential to put the UK firmly back on the map as a global leader in CCS development and deployment.”

6 September 2016: The Global CCS Institute has welcomed the ratification of the Paris Agreement by two of the world’s biggest emitters, America and China, as a major step forward towards cutting greenhouse gas emissions, at the 2016 G20 Hangzou Summit.
