Project description

The Sinopec East China CCS Project involves three subsidiaries of Sinopec: the Nanjing Chemical Industries Co., Ltd, Sinopec East China Branch, and Sinopec Jiangsu oilfield.

Nanjing Chemical Industries Co., Ltd operates a synthetic ammonia facility and a coal to hydrogen facility. About 500,000 tonnes per annum of high concentration CO2 with about 99 per cent purity is produced by the two facilities. The captured CO2 would then be transported through a (new build) pipeline to oil fields operated by Sinopec East Branch and Sinopec Jiangsu Oil Field for EOR.
