Senior Advocacy & Communications Advisor
Based in Brussels, Annya is the Institute’s advocacy and communications adviser for Europe. In that role she coordinates the Institute’s regional advocacy and communications activities. In the past, she was leading on the organisation of the APAC CCS Forum, the “Accelerating CCUS Globally Conference” co-organised with the UK Government and the Institute’s presence at COP23. At the Institute, Annya is also responsible for the development of strategic partnerships in the interest of maximising the Institute’s mission to accelerate the deployment of CCS globally. This includes working with Institute’s members, media, NGOs and policymakers.
Before joining the Institute Annya worked at the Thomson Reuters Foundation, she was overseeing several global initiatives and the annual Trust Conference. She was also responsible for corporate fundraising and sponsorships. Previously based in London and Geneva, Annya has held various communications and advocacy related roles. Annya holds a Master’s degree in International Studies from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID).
