Member Webinar | Coal-Assisted Carbon Capture and Storage in Wyoming

25th March 2025

Location(s): Online, Type(s): webinar

Time:  1.00pm MDT/ 3:00pm ET

The Institute is delighted to invite you to join us for our exclusive Monthly Member Webinar series.

Each month,  members and friends of the Institute will gain insights from fellow members and esteemed guests on a broad spectrum of topics in carbon capture and storage.

This webinar will highlight the collaboration between Carbon GeoCapture (CGC) and Black Hills Energy (BHE) at BHE’s Neil Simpson Complex in Gillette, Wyoming – which uses CGC’s technology to store carbon dioxide from a coal-fired power plant into unmineable coal seams. The discussion will focus on how this approach can reduce storage costs while supporting emission reduction goals and long-term energy security, while also potentially expediting the permit approval process and offering economic opportunities to communities with a history in hydrocarbon production.

Don’t miss this chance to stay at the forefront of developments in CCS!
