Site tour held at OSAKI CoolGen project site for Japan Members

On 25 May our Japan Office hosted one day tour to OSAKI CoolGen project site, exclusively for Japan Members. The site is located 3.5 hours away from Tokyo in Osaki-Kamijima island, Toyota-gun, Hiroshima.
The OSAKI CoolGen Project consists of three stages: ‘Oxygen-blown IGCC demonstration’ as Step 1, ‘IGCC demonstration with CO2 capture’ as Step 2 and ‘IGFC demonstration with CO2 capture’ as Step 3.
Step 1 demonstration has been proceeding with ensuring safety and preserving the environment since 2016 and they have just launched the construction of CO2 capture unit to the IGCC plant for Step 2in this April.
A total of 14 participants visited the site in Osaki-Kamijima island in Hiroshima to participate in this onsite event.
Our Japan Office will continue to organize this kind of event and welcome any requests from the Members regarding site visits.
インスティテュート日本事務所主催「大崎クールジェンプロジェクト見学会」を開催いたしました。
平成30年5月25日 （金）日本事務所主催のインスティテュート日本会員様向見学会を開催いたしました。
今回は大崎クールジェン株式会社様のご協力をいただき、大崎クールジェンプロジェクトの施設（広島県豊田郡大崎上島町）を訪問しました。当プロジェクトでは、第一段階の酸素吹IGCC実証試験が順調に進捗し、本年4月に第二段階の「CO2分離・回収型IGCC実証」施設の主要設備であるCO2分離回収設備の建設工事に着手されたところです。
当日は総勢14名にて現地に伺い、大崎クールジェン株式会社 木田淳志副社長様よりプロジェクトの進捗について丁寧なご説明をいただきました。見学会中、参加者の皆様からもプロジェクトに関するご質問が多く寄せられ、大変有意義な会合となりました。
今後もインスティテュートでは見学会を随時開催していく予定です。会員の皆様からの今後の見学会に関するご意見ご要望などをお待ちしております。
