2023 Global CCS Institute All-hands Meeting: Collaborating for Impact

In late March, teams across the Global CCS Institute met and gathered at our head-office in Melbourne to take part in an all-hands meeting. With new staff members joining the Institute over the past two years, this meeting offered an opportunity to swap ideas in person and build on efforts aimed to accelerate the deployment of CCS.
The theme ‘Collaborating for Impact’ led the Institute’s way forward at the all-hands, and the aim was, and continues to be, exactly that. Together, across teams and regions, creating a lasting impact for climate ambition and CCS begins with people, community and strengthened expertise and understanding.
Throughout the week, our Institute hosted several discussions, which included delving into our 5-year strategy, assessing CCS challenges and opportunities emerging globally and across different regions, and unpacking exciting areas of interest for the Institute, such as the finance sector’s impact on CCS and the role of environmental and climate justice in CCS deployment.
The Institute also organised various team-building workshop sessions aimed to enhance our daily activities and hone in on our culture of trust, collaboration, and delivering quality and data-driven outputs. With over 50 people strong, across 7 offices globally and close to 200 members, the momentum driving the growth of the Institute’s continues on.
