European High Level Conference on Carbon Capture and Storage in Oslo

On September 5th, the European High Level Conference on Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) gathered more than 400 participants from 26 countries to discuss the further development of CCS in Europe. The conference gathered European Ministers, CEOs, NGOs and trade union representatives. The conference was hosted by Kjell-Børge Freiberg, Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy and Miguel Arias Cañete, Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy.
At the event, seven European companies signed a memorandum of understanding with Equinor and the partners of the Northern Lights project to collaborate on developing CO2 storage and value chains in CCS.
