Wednesday, 15 August 2018

The Government of Canada has announced $375,000 for a unique carbon capture technology from CO2 Solutions in Quebec City that will cut costs for future commercial projects. CO2 Solutions’ technology uses the most powerful known catalyst for carbon management called enzyme carbonic anhydrase (CA) making the capture and production process of pure CO2 more energy efficient and bringing down cost. CO2 Solutions’  research and development project is part of the $49-million Energy Innovation Program and is expected to improve air quality and fight climate change by reducing CO2 from large industrial emitters through utilization and storage.
