2024 Europe Forum on Carbon Capture and Storage

The Global CCS Institute's 2024 Europe Forum on Carbon Capture and Storage took place on 17 April in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Each year, the Europe Forum serves as a pivotal gathering, uniting policymakers, NGOs, industry leaders, academics, financial specialists, and the public to explore the forefront of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technology advancements across Europe.

Featuring dynamic panel discussions on CCS policy, project development, and distinguished speakers such as Michel Heijdra, Director General for Climate and Energy from the Government of the Netherlands, and Daniel Mes, Business Envoy and member of the cabinet of the commissioner for Climate Action at the European Commission, among others, the event provided invaluable insights into critical topics including job market readiness and funding mechanisms. Attendees also took part in interactive Q&A and breakout group sessions.
