個人がどのようにCO2を認識しているかを理解するCO2回収貯留の受容への影響

CCS技術に関する説明では、ほとんどの場合でCO2について触れているが、これは一般市民がCO2について理解していることを前提にしている。一般市民にとって、CO2の性質に関する知識及び理解がCO2排出産業及びCCS技術との関わり方に影響を及ぼすと分かってきている。しかし、CO2に関する社会的な認識、知識及び理解について調査した研究は非常に少ない。本調査は、そのギャップを埋めようと試みるものである。
本報告書では、3ヶ国（日本、豪州及びオランダ）の市民がどのようにCO2を認識しているかに関する調査について説明している。また、個人のCO2に関する認識がCCSに関する認識とどう関連するのかを示すとともに、CO2の基本的な性質及び特性に関する情報提供が低炭素エネルギーの各選択肢、特にCCSに対する個人の姿勢にどのように影響するかについて調査している。
