Errol Pinto is the Senior Technical Regional Manager Americas at the Global CCS Institute. Errol is an energy sector expert skilled across the energy value chain with competencies in natural resource development, policy advisory, strategy, and project delivery.
Errol brings over 18 years of experience in the energy industry having worked at BP, BHP, and Shell prior to joining the institute. His key accomplishments have included leading CCS projects while incorporating commercial, economic, technical, and operational feasibility within policy frameworks, identifying risks and opportunities with new market entries, and engaging with stakeholders in government and in the private sector. He brings an insider’s working knowledge of energy policy in support of the energy transition.
Errol holds an MA in International Business and Policy from Georgetown University, an MBA from Duke University, an MS in Industrial Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
