Dr. Hannah Galbraith-Olive is a Senior Technical Policy Manager for Europe within the Strategic Advocacy, Growth and Engagement team. Hannah is based in London and joined the Institute in January 2026.
Prior to joining the Institute, Hannah was a Senior Consultant at ERM, delivering advisory projects for public and private clients in Europe and internationally. Her recent work includes leading a national CCUS roadmap in Poland, analysing future transboundary CO₂ flows and CCUS/CDR business models for the IEAGHG, as well as leading a study on CCS‑as‑a‑service with the WBCSD. She has also undertaken socio-economic assessments for CCS projects, mapped optimal CO₂ storage across Europe, and facilitated CO₂ storage training.
Hannah has a PhD in Earth Sciences (Geophysics) from the University of Cambridge and an MSci in Geology & Geophysics from Imperial College London. Her academic background in multi‑phase flow in porous media underpins her work across the CCS value chain.
