Kazuko had joined the Institute in December, 2014 as BD Lead located in Tokyo, Japan and in charge of Japan and South Korea. Kazuko also supported fee for service project and advocacy activity happening in Japan.
In past, Kazuko had been involved in secretarial jobs in multinational companies (Dutch electric company/German pharmaceutical company). In Kazuko recent previous position, she was in charge of Brand Protection at Japan’s headquarters of an American apparel company. The most challenging job in the past was when her company won an appeal in an intellectual property-related trial. It was a very privileged experience for her to have the court recognize the infringement of a Japanese competitor’s rights working with our in-house and corporate lawyers over several years.
Kazuko has a bachelor degree in French language.
