Appointed 1 October 2026, Mr James Murphy is currently Vice President Government, Climate and Social Performance at Santos Limited. He joined Santos in 2020 in the Strategy and External Affairs team and has held roles across climate, sustainability, media and communications and strategy. Mr Murphy has more than 20 years’ experience across diverse roles including Commonwealth and State Governments, media and communications and electrical and automation industry. Mr Murphy holds a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) from the University of South Australia.
