As Head of Strategic Planning and Business Integration, Anhar works closely with the Executive Team to drive Institute strategy, align priorities with budgets and operations, and strengthen organizational performance in support of the Institute’s mission to accelerate global deployment of carbon capture and storage. Anhar brings nearly 30 years of experience in energy and climate policy, environmental regulation, and carbon management.

Prior to joining the Institute, she held senior roles at the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where she helped design and implement foundational CCS policies, regulatory frameworks, and major federal initiatives. She has also worked on multilateral environmental frameworks, supporting treaty implementation and serving as a delegate, technical advisor, and author of various reports.
