Hugh is a Senior Capture Lead for Carbon Capture Technology at the Institute based in Melbourne, Australia. Hugh is a chemical engineer, and before joining the Institute, he worked in the industrial gases sector in Australia and New Zealand. His experience includes the operation and process improvement of Air Separation Units, Natural Gas Liquefiers, Pressure Swing Absorbers, Hydrogen Steam Methane Reformers, and Carbon Dioxide Capture facilities.

Hugh holds a Bachelor’s in Chemical and Materials Engineering from the University of Auckland. Hugh is an active volunteer in the chemical engineering profession in Australia as the Early Career Member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers National Board of Australia and the Engineers Australia Representative to the Joint Victorian Chemical Engineering Committee.
