2025 Europe Forum on Carbon Capture and Storage

The Global CCS Institute's 2025 Europe Forum on Carbon Capture and Storage took place on 19 March in Brussels, Belgium.
This annual forum serves as a key platform for collaboration, bringing together policymakers, NGOs, industry leaders, academics, financial specialists, members of the institute and members of the public to discuss and advance developments in carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies across Europe.
The 2025 Forum featured insightful panel discussions addressing CCS projects, storage development, and broader industry advancements. Esteemed speakers, including Christian Holzleitner, Head of Unit for Land Economy and Carbon Removals from the European Commission; Pim Van Loon, CCS Program Manager at the Government of the Netherland's Ministry of Climate Policy and Green Growth, Eve Tamme, Chair from the Zero Emissions Platform, along with many others, provided expert perspectives on crucial topics such as CCS Development in the EU and Beyond and Financing CCS Projects.
Participants also benefited from engaging interactive Q&A sessions and focused breakout group discussions, fostering meaningful dialogue and the exchange of ideas.
