CCUS Handbook for Policymakers Launched by US Government

On Monday, April 29, 2024, the US Department of State’s Bureau of Energy Resources (ENR) and the US Department of Commerce’s Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) jointly launched a new CCUS handbook for policymakers. The handbook is an open-access publication covering the fundamentals of CCUS, project engagement, best practices, capacity building, a roadmap for developing legal and regulatory frameworks, financing, and more. The handbook is intended to serve as a starting point for policymakers in countries with ambition to adopt and implement CCUS.
The handbook was developed in support of the Clean EDGE (Enhancing Development and Growth through Energy) Asia initiative and is already published in several languages including, Bahasa Indonesia, English, Malay, Thai, and Vietnamese. Experts from US government agencies, foreign governments, multi-lateral organizations, industry, civil society, and academia contributed to development of the handbook.
