Ellina Levina is the Head of Public Affairs at the Global CCS Institute.
She leads the Institute’s advocacy work in Europe and engagement with the finance sector to enable CCS deployment. Ellina has more than 20 years of international experience in climate change and energy policy. She has worked as an analyst, partnerships manager, project manager, program director at international orgnanisations and think tanks. Ellina covered a broad range of issues, including clean energy technology policies, international carbon markets, energy efficiency policies, resilience and adaptation to climate change impacts, as well as international climate change governance architecture. She has also authored numerous reports on these topics.
Prior to joining the Institute, Ellina worked as an analyst and project manager at the International Energy Agency and as a Partnerships Manager at the Secretariat of the Clean Energy Ministerial. She holds a Master’s degree in Climatology from St. Petersburg State University (Russia) and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management from the University of Amsterdam (the Netherlands). Ellina also has a Certificate of Accomplishment in Environmental Law and a Certificate in High Performance Leadership.
Ellina is fluent in English, Russian, and French.
