Yasuo joined the Institute in early 2018 on secondment from Japan Bank for International Corporation (JBIC). In his role, Yasuo distributes useful news and information to the Institute’s Japanese Members across a broad range of CCS related topics such as; global project development, policy, technology and the economics of CCS. In addition, Yasuo provides input to consultancy for Japanese Clients, collaborating with the Commercial team and other Regional Offices.

Yasuo’s previous roles at JBIC enabled him to gain experience in the business development of JBIC’s loan to environment improvement projects, and in conducting environmental and social due diligence for JBIC loan approval processes.
