Reaffirming commitment to the UN Global Compact
18th July 2018
This month, the Institute reaffirmed its strong commitment to the UN Global Compact which it joined in 2016. The Institute remains a strong and proud supporter of the Compact’s Ten Principles which address human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption measures. By supporting the UN Global Compact Principles, the Institute is working towards the welfare of all global citizens as the threat of climate change continues to expand.
The Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative with more than 9,500 members across more than 160 countries.
The Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact are derived from: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, and the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.
