US Senator Manchin and Richard Gephardt to headline Institute's annual Americas Forum

US Senator Joe Manchin (Democrat – West Virginia) and former House Democratic Leader Richard Gephardt will headline a roster of expert speakers and panelists at the Institute’s Fourth Annual Americas Forum: Call to Action on CCUS Policy and Deployment

This premier Institute event in the Americas will bring together more than 100 senior-level government and industry leaders to discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with the broad deployment of carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS), creating an opportunity for experts to discuss the pathways forward for CCUS as an integral part of a climate action plan. The forum will be held on
5 February, 2015 at the Embassy of Canada in Washington, DC.

This year’s forum will focus on the policy actions needed to advance the development and deployment of CCUS. The Honorable Joe Manchin, US Senator, West Virginia will discuss the prospects for legislative action in the 114th Congress. The Honorable Richard A Gephardt, President and CEO of Gephardt Government Affairs and former House Democratic Leader will discuss the interplay of technology, politics and policy in advancing the development and deployment of CCUS.
