Institute connects Members and Carbon Conversion Technology companies

In 2018, the Global CCS Institute facilitated six technical CCUS meetings between interested technology companies. Chiyoda Corporation, a Global CCS Institute Member, reached out to their local Institute Client Engagement team to help connect them with technology companies participating in the NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE.
As a result, meetings were lined up in Los Angeles, Vancouver and Calgary with the following organisations:
- Newlight
- Carbon Upcycling UCLA
- Carbon Engineering
- Carbon Management Canada – Carbon Capture and Conversion Institute
- Inventys
- Carbon Upcycling Technologies
During the meetings each organizations shared what they are doing and discussed the possibilities of future collaboration. The companies developing the technologies were impressed stating ‘I did not realise the Institute made these connections for their Members’.
