2023 Europe Forum on Carbon Capture & Storage
27th June 2023
The Global CCS Institute's 2023 Europe Forum on Carbon Capture and Storage took place on 15 June in Brussels, Belgium.
Held every year, the Europe Forum is an opportunity for policy leaders, NGOs, industry experts, academics, those in the financial sector and the general public to meet and discuss the state of carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) technology in Europe.
During the event, we heard insightful presentations from high-level representatives of the European Commission, including the Director General of DG Climate Action, Kurt Vandenberghe. Representatives with the Dutch Government, the Bank of America, Equinor, Imperial College London, the IEA and many more were at the Forum to provide their lens and expertise on CCS. We held dynamic panel discussions unpacking CCS policy frameworks and financing mechanisms, and offered our attendees the opportunity to take part in Q&A and breakout group discussions.
