The Global Status of CCS: The next wave of carbon capture

On February 4, the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center hosted the US launch of the Global CCS Institute’s Global Status of CCS 2019: Targeting Climate Change report to discuss progress, policies, and CCS projects within the net-zero emissions transition.
Speakers included: Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and Jeff Erikson, General Manager, Global CCS Institute. A Panel included contributions from Janet Peace, Senior Vice President for Policy and Business Strategy, Centre for Climate and Energy Solutions, Ryan Edwards, Low Carbon Policy Advisor, Oxy LCV, Maya Batres, Project Manager, Energy and Land Use, TNC, Lee Beck, Senior Advisor, Global CCS Institute and was moderated by: David Livingston, Deputy Director, Atlantic Council.
