Co-hosted by the Global CCS Institute and Japan CCS Co. Ltd., the Japan-Asia CCUS Forum 2020 will focus attention on CCS/CCUS as essential for Japan, and the region’s, clean energy transition. The forum consists in three parts from Part I to Part III t Experts from across the globe will take part in a virtual Forum on October 6 that will highlight the critical need for carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCS/CCUS) technologies, demonstrate their versatility, discuss progress and the outlook for future CCS/CCUS deployment in Japan, and across Asia. Program
The forum consists of three parts from Part I to Part III to update and share the latest status and future deployment of CCS/CCUS. The full event will be held online.
The latest information on CCS/CCUS technology development in Japan will be presented through the results and learnings from the Tomakomai CCS Demonstration Project, and discussions will be held on the outlook for deployment of CCS/CCUS in Japan and Asia as well as capacity building in Asia.
Part I: Present the achievements and future outlook of the Tomakomai CCS Demonstration Project
Part II: On the basis of the outcomes of the study for introducing CCS in Japan, discussion on further deployment of CCS in Japan
Part III: Make this an opportunity for Japan to be a leader in Asia for further deployment of CCS projects and capacity building.
