Webinar: California’s Carbon Capture and Storage Protocol

12th June 2019

Join us for a webinar on the Global CCS Institute's latest report The LCFS and CCS Protocol: An Overview for Policymakers and Project Developers analyzing California’s recently passed carbon capture and storage protocol. The report provides a summary of the regulation for project developers and policymakers in other states and countries, given its global applicability. While comparing it to other relevant regulations – including the federal carbon capture tax credit also known as 45Q – the report seeks to raise awareness for the opportunities created through the protocol.

The webinar will be held on June 12 at 1 pm PST/ 4pm EST by Alex Townsend and Ian Havercroft, both Senior Consultants at the Global CCS Institute and authors of the report.

Topics to be discussed include:
- Opportunities to earn LCFS credits with carbon capture and storage projects
- Storage and liability requirements of the protocol
- Comparison with 45Q requirements

The discussion will be followed by a Q&A.
